This month has been historic for The Table. At the beginning of March, we set out on an adventure to further impact lives in our community. Because of the close link we have to our friends at Fellowship of Christian Athletes, we understand that coaches are some of the most influential adults in a kid’s life. We wanted to take that a step further and completely adopt a little league baseball team. We are providing the coaches, the uniforms, and we are purposefully engaging the parents and fans to build relationships. In the past month, we have played 5 of our games and they were a blast! You can imagine the excitement when about 22, 7-year-old boys get together on a baseball field! This is just one of the many exciting things that are taking place at The Table.
In March, our pastor, Jon Simmonds, quit his full-time job so he could put full-time effort into the ministry at The Table and into the community of Saint Charles County. We know this was a huge step of faith for him and his family and we are praying that God will continue to provide financially for them.
Also this year, we surpassed giving away over $30,000 in compassion initiatives over the past 3 years. These funds have helped spread the Gospel message, fight human trafficking, care for impoverished children, and provide front line support for those in our own community who are struggling to pay bills or find employment.
We know that the realization of The Table Church has always been a group effort. Because of the faithful support of givers from all over the United States, we have been able to do amazing things. But we are not done! We have so much more that we want to do and we believe that you can play a vital part in what lies ahead. Our leaders are fully focused on praying through our future direction. To us, success is defined as obedience to the Holy Spirit’s leading and direction. Would you commit to praying at least once a week for the ministry and leadership at The Table? We are so thankful for those who give sacrificially to The Table. If you are not a current financial partner, would you consider being a life giver by providing a one-time or reoccurring donation?
At The Table we are creating communities to expand the Kingdom through radical compassion.
