"I want you to get out there and walk -- better yet, run! -- on the road God called you to travel. I don't want any of you sitting around on your hands. I don't want anyone strolling off, down some path that goes nowhere. And mark that you do this with humility and discipline -- not in fits and starts, but steadily pouring yourselves out for each other in acts of love, alert at noticing differences and quick at mending fences."
Ephesians 4:1-3 MSG
Winston Churchill said, “Its wise to look ahead, but difficult to look further than you can see.”
Jacob and I can relate to this quote as we are in the season of our lives where most conversations are planning and dreaming about the future. Over the last several months we have decide to purchase a home in Saint Charles, as we feel this is where God has placed us (at least as far as we can see!)
As a church we’ve been learning God’s definition of neighboring and strategies for being great neighbors. This is significant as we pray over our future home and those who may live near us. Its exciting and challenging to make these decisions together!
Jake will have evaluations at work this week, and as most of you know, we’ve experienced A LOT of unusual schedules due to his jobs. This has certainly been a challenge for us, but we’ve learned so much about the importance of having quality time with the people you love. We have high hopes for a change that will put us on the same schedule very soon!!
We are so amazed at God’s work through The Table, in just the short time we’ve been on this journey. He is growing deep relationships among the core families that meet together each Saturday. He is establishing a passion for the community of Saint Charles and helping us brainstorm new ideas to connect people to Him. He is accomplishing His plan, despite our humanness. Overall, God is blowing our minds.
Thank you for your support of us and of God’s vision for The Table!!
