As a kid, I always remember wishing it was Christmas! I love celebrating and it seemed that Christmas was one of the biggest celebrations! Each day leading up to December 25th, I’d think “I can’t wait until its Christmas!” When the day was finally here, the anticipation was almost more than I could handle!
This is how Jacob and I felt about buying our first home! As many of you know, we spent the better part of the last year looking at houses. If my cell phone could speak, it would say, “Amen!” We became best friends with our realtor, Janet Morris (who did an EXCELLENT job, shameless plug!).
We, also, spent most of our free time touring houses that are now occupied by other families. So when we finally completed negotiation on our house, we were like kids waiting for Christmas. We knew it was happening, and we couldn’t wait!
As of June 30th, we are proud owners of a sweet brick home on Headland Drive and new residents of a neighborhood we’ve been praying over for the last year! Thank you for joining us in prayer as we have searched for this home and asked God to ordain our path into a new area of Saint Charles. We have been learning so much about relationships and neighboring at The Table this year. We’re excited to practice this with a fresh perspective!
"Loving your neighbors, involves knowing them." -The Art of Neighboring
It seems like a simple concept, that you must first know your neighbor before you can love them. But its an easy thing to overlook. We've already had the opportunity to meet some of the people living near us, and we are looking forward to loving them!
The summer has been full of family, friends- new and old, and making our new house into a home! Thank you so much for your support. We’re thankful to have you on our team!
The Table: We’ve got ONE YEAR under our “church planting belts!” We couldn’t be more amazed about all God has done since last August. We’ll be throwing The Table a birthday party, so keep your eyes open for the festivities!
Keep up with The Table at www.thetablestc.com and on Facebook!
Sarah Helm joined our team on the ground in Saint Charles this month. We're SO excited to have her with us!
Job: Jacob is stillllllll awaiting a possible change to day shift at his current job. We’re continually praying for patience and God’s will in this situation.
Camp Sharon: I had the opportunity to spend a week at Camp Sharon this summer. I counseled at High School Camp and was amazed at the students I encountered. They had such a passion to serve God with their gifts and talents. We should all be thrilled to see these young people grow into faithful leaders of the Church!
