I have officially arrived in St. Charles and am here to stay!
These last few months have been a crazy adventure but, I'm ready to be settled and get back in the flow of life. So many changes have happened that I'm excited to share with you!
In May I graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University with a degree in Organizational Leadership. I took the rest of May off to spend time with my family and friends and continue looking for a job in the St. Louis/St. Charles area.
June brought family vacation to the beach with many aunts, uncles and cousins which was a blast! In June I got offered a part-time administrative job with Fellowship of Christian Athletes. FCA was a huge part of my life in high school and I was really excited for the opportunity to work with them again!
July was jam packed going from place to place. I had a week of training for my new job in St. Charles. During this week I got to attend and lead worship at my very first Table Saturday service! From there I went to Camp Sharon to spend 2 weeks. I worked one week as the nurse (feel free to laugh, many others did) and the second week as lifeguard.
From there I went back to St. Charles to join in for a week of training high school leaders from around St. Louis in how to lead their FCA huddles. It was an awesome time of spiritual growth for some influential athletes and a great time of meeting new people for me! My favorite moment of camp was the closing prayer (pictured above) as the students were prayed for and commissioned to go out and impact their schools for Christ!
July was a crazy month, I felt like I was living out of my car at some points, so when August finally arrived I was excited to get settled back in St. Charles. But God had some other plans. My job with FCA was only part time, which meant I was going to need to find another part-time job.
God had provided for me by giving me this awesome job with FCA and I knew that he would provide something again with finding another job. And oh boy did he! Last week I found out that starting September 1 I will get to be FULL TIME for FCA! The Simmonds and Sam took me out in celebration to Fritz's ice cream!
I choose to be a part of The Table team over a year and a half ago. Now I've finally got my feet on the ground here and God has reaffirmed that this is where he is calling me every step of the way. I said yes and HE has been faithful to provide for me more then I could've ever imagined every step of the way.
The Table is celebrating one year this weekend! We are so excited for what God has in store for us in this next year. It has been a blast to be here these last few weeks and become a part of the Table Family. I'm looking forward to many more awesome weeks ahead!
