Set Your Feet
Jesus tells us that “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock." As The Table continues to be molded and formed we have one priority: to set our feet on the words of Jesus. On Sunday we gathered, mid-construction, at our church building at 49 Circle Way to celebrate Easter and to remember the promises in the Scripture. We had an amazing time inscribing verses onto the floors of the facility. When the lost and broken walk into our gathering space, when the lonely and scared walk into our gathering space, when the called and redeemed walk into our gathering space...they all will be literally standing on the promises of God.
Construction on the facility seems to be moving slowly these days. We are in the permit and inspection stage and it can be a bit intimidating and confusing at times. Please pray that the Lord would intercede for us as we try to move forward with this process of the remodel. These are huge hurdles and they feel weighty.
Speaking of the remodel...Our goal is to have our grand opening/open house on Saturday Evening, August 13th. We would love for you to join us! Many hands have put hours into the facility and what a great celebration this will be. We will pass along more details as we get closer but for now, would you put this date on your calendar and plan to attend?
Finally, I would like to give an update as to the stages we will be in on the remodel for the next few months for those who would like to jump in and help. In April, we are hoping to finish up the electrical work and sheetrock work (hanging, taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing). In May, we hope to paint the entire upstairs of the building. In June we will begin to install flooring (ceramic tile and carpet tiles) and trim. In July we will install all the cabinets, countertops, appliances, and electronics. We would love your help.
Again we would like to thank everyone who has prayed for, given to, or labored with us at The Table!
