A few days ago, Mamoudou Gassama, was walking in Paris when he looked up and saw a four-year-old dangling from a 4th floor balcony. Instead of just watching to see what would happen next, he began to scale the building, jumping from balcony rail to balcony rail. Forsaking his own safety, Gassama reached the child and pulled him to safety. You can watch the video by clicking here.
There is a another story about lives being saved in Acts 5. After news of the Apostles rise in popularity among the people because of the miraculous signs (click here for more details) , they were arrested and thrown in prison. This is were we pick up today's story:
17 The high priest and his officials, who were Sadducees, were filled with jealousy.18 They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail. 19 But an angel of the Lord came at night, opened the gates of the jail, and brought them out. Then he told them, 20 “Go to the Temple and give the people this message of life!”
21 So at daybreak the apostles entered the Temple, as they were told, and immediately began teaching.
When the Apostles were rescued by an angel, the message was simple...go and give this message of life. When was the last time that you shared with someone about a time when you were rescued? The person who knows most of your life history is you. I am confident that each person has a uniquely powerful story of life to share. Go and give!
With sincere love for each of you,
